Castle/Avengers Promo

At the end of last night’s Castle episode, the following clip (instead of a normal promo for the next episode) played.

It was so much fun to see Stark and Castle comparing themselves to each other. Glad that Fillion’s helping promote The Avengers, especially since he and Joss Whedon have done so much together: Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dr. Horrible’s Singalong Blog, and now Much Ado About Nothing.

Monday Madness: Favorite Undead/Nonhuman Characters

This time on Monday Madness, it’s time to vote for your favorite undead/nonhuman characters! Whether they are ghosts, vampires, aliens, werewolves, or something a bit more unconventional, they add color and plot twists to every show they are a part of.

This poll will be open for one week, and you can choose up to 10 of your favorite undead or nonhuman characters. Be sure to spread the word so your favorites will make it into the top 10!

Even though there are 40 options on this list, I know there are many great characters I left out! As always, you can cast write-in ballots by leaving a comment. Want more of a say in who makes it onto the poll each week? Be sure to follow me on Twitter, since I usually ask for nominations for the next Monday Madness the weekend before the new poll.

Without further ado, here’s the poll for this week’s Monday Madness! Voting ends around 1AM April 23rd.

‘The Selection’ — William Moseley Cast In The CW Pilot

I don’t know how this got by me earlier, but Chronicles of Narnia star William Moseley has been cast in (and is currently filming) the CW pilot, The Selection. I’d previously chosen The Selection as my top CW pilot that I hope gets to series, so this is just icing on the cake! He plays Aspen Leger, “a handsome and brave young man with a regal bearing under his ragged clothes who belongs to the servant class and has to support his entire family.”

Season Finale Spoilers and Dates — 2102 – TVLine.

Person of Interest Sneak Peek: Reese Gets a Blast from His Dark Past – TVLine

Person of Interest returns April 26, and will air 4 all-new episodes until the season finale May 17. Since CBS has already renewed Person of Interest, be on the lookout for a smashing cliffhanger!

The next episode, “Matsya Nyaya”, delves into Reese’s past with a look at his last CIA mission, with his old partner, Claire Stanton (Annie Parisse).

The Office Season 9 Makeover – TVLine

As much as The Office has become a mix of heartwarming embarrassment (like the 10 best and worst minutes of extended family holidays rolled into a TV show each week), I’m not sure it can thrive with losing many more of its main cast members. Survive, yes, since NBC’s ratings are dismal and this is one show that has stood the test of time on the network. I’m not surprised they’re trying to keep the show in any form possible, given that it consistently is their highest-rated Thursday show. I think the show could do okay without Pam (with two kids at home, her staying home with them and only making an appearance a few times a year would work), but it has to keep Jim, and either Dwight or Andy, to feel like the same show.

The Big Bang Theory Casts Casey Sander as Bernadette’s Father – TVLine

Not seeing the resemblance, so I hope whoever they cast as Bernadette’s mother looks more like her. As least Sander looks like someone Howard should be afraid of, which is sure to bring laughs.

How I Met Your Mother, Private Practice, Walking Dead Spoilers — Ask Ausiello – TVLine

I love these spoiler posts! TVLine’s Michael Ausiello offers hints at future episodes of HIMYM, Castle, Bones, and more. He also gives his reaction to the second series of Sherlock.

You can watch the first two episodes of ABC’s Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23 before they air at the link below! The comedy stars Krysten Ritter, Dreama Walker, James Van Der Beek (as James Van Der Beek), and Liza Lapira (Dollhouse’s Ivy, NCIS’s Agent Michelle Lee). The show premieres April 11th at 9:30/8:30 central on ABC.

Show synopsis:

A wide-eyed Midwestern girl moves to New York City to pursue her dream job only to find herself living with an outlandish girl with the morals of a pirate. June’s (Dreama Walker) well-planned well-organized life takes a drastic turn when she arrives in New York to find that the corporate finance job she moved there for no longer exists. As she tries to navigate her newly single life in the big city, her Midwestern scruples are constantly put to the test by her wild and sophisticated party-girl roommate Chloe (Krysten Ritter) and Chloe’s best friend, the actor James Van Der Beek (James Van Der Beek). The two girls form an unlikely friendship that leads them both to unexpected places and often-illegal experiences.

I feel like I would enjoy the show more if I had watched Dawson’s Creek growing up. Also, during most of the second episode, I thought Chloe was lying about who her parents were, since it had already been established that she’s a con artist.

Since this show has many similarities to 2 Broke Girls (two 20something girls sharing an apartment in NYC, one naive, one jaded), there are bound to be comparisons. So far, I don’t find it as funny as the CBS show, but the excellent cast gives it room to grow.
