Not sure about this casting – but since the original Beast was supposed to be a spoiled brat before his transformation, maybe the full-of-himself grin works. I’m guessing we won’t see much of his face under the makeup anyhow.

Not to sure I’m happy about this, as I wanted Belle to have more of a major role in Once Upon a Time (can’t get rid of the one person who can reach Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin’s heart!), but it is only a pilot, and on the same network as OUAT. Also, it would make sense for the character of Belle to not have as great of a role in the show since there may be two other Beauty and the Beast interpretations on TV next fall (I’m hoping ABC decides to pair theirs with Once Upon a Time on Sunday nights).
With all the discussion about the show Elementary “stealing” the idea of a modern-day Sherlock Holmes from BBC’s Sherlock, I thought this article comparing Holmes and Psych was especially apt. The Selection is one of the more interesting pilots the CW has ordered for the next season. Not sure about this casting – I haven’t seen Aimee Teegarden in anything, but I can think of a bunch of actors I would prefer in the role.
So many interesting things are talked about in this article! Sebastian Stan (Jack Benjamin from Kings) will be the Mad Hatter on a future episode of Once Upon a Time (so, yes, the picture we saw of Alice in Wonderland in the book was entirely accurate).

I’ve been waiting for this episode of The Finder for a while! T.J. Thyne (Hodgins from Bones) gives a glimpse at his crossover episode, airing tonight, which deals with finding an extraterrestrial object. Hodgins and aliens? Sign me up!
Glad to see Chris Egan from Kings making it onto a pilot! Can’t really picture him as a Gaston-like character (but then I couldn’t see McNab from Psych in that role either), but he’s an excellent addition to ABC’s Beauty and the Beast.
While the concept of Last Resort didn’t grip me immediately, the cast is starting to make it one of my most hope-it-gets-to-series pilots. No Ordinary Family’s Autumn Reeser was the start, and now they’ve added Dichen Lachman (Dollhouse, Being Human) to the cast!
Scoop on a whole bunch of shows! The news about an Ocean’s 11 episode of Community is probably the best out of the bunch (only considering that Community’s return March 15th was announced in a previous post). I’m also excited to find out that Grimm will be looking back at the death of Nick’s parents.
