The CW has renewed Nikita for its 3rd season (which also makes a 4th season more likely), and picked up 5 pilots to series: Arrow, Beauty and the Beast, The Carrie Diaries, Cult, and First Cut. No mention has been made of the much buzzed about Hunger-Games-meets-The-Bachelor drama The Selection.
Update: more renewal news! Fellow bubble show Hart of Dixie has been renewed (anyone think they won’t pair it with First Cut?). Also, Gossip Girl was picked up for a shortened 11-episode season 6. Already renewed: Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, and 90210, bringing the CW’s total to 11 hour-long shows. Freshmen dramas Ringer and The Secret Circle have been canceled.

That sucks that Nikita and the Hart of Dixie got renewed when they were in danger of being cancelled and cancelled the Secret Circle, I will watch Vampire Diaries but any of the new shows forgot it, not watching and I wouldn’t watch this network if it weren’t for Vampire Diaries. They cancelled a good show without giving it a chance so now I am not going to watch CW except for thurs at 7
I have to agree with you Niki Gill. They should have kept The Secret Circle. Nikita sucks and Hart of Dixie is ok. To be honest, I stopped watching The Vampire Diareies (it’s a little redundant). The Secret Circle was getting so much better with the plot. I saw the season finale and couldn’t wait for next season…only to find out the show has been cancelled. 🙁
They realllly should have The Secret Circle season 2!!!!!This better be Nikitas last season.
