Friends: The Complete Series Blu-Ray Giveaway!

Warner Bros. is sponsoring a giveaway of the complete series of FRIENDS (10 seasons!) on Blu-Ray! Keep reading for more details about the prize (worth $279.99) and enter to win! (The Raffercopter entry form is at the end of this post.)

Friends is an American sitcom about six friends struggling to survive on their own in Manhattan. In each episode, they find the companionship, comfort and support from each other to be the perfect solutions to the pressures of everyday life. The series stars ‘The Ones That Were There For You’ for ten seasons strong: Jennifer Aniston as “Rachel Green,” Courteney Cox as “Monica Geller,” Lisa Kudrow as “Phoebe Buffay,” Matt LeBlanc as “Joey Tribbiani,” Matthew Perry as “Chandler Bing,” and David Schwimmer as “Dr. Ross Geller.” Friends has also featured many notable guest stars including Tom Selleck, Aisha Tyler, Jon Favreau, Anna Faris, Hank Azaria, Bruce Willis, Reese Witherspoon, Christina Applegate, Sean Penn, Jon Lovitz, Alec Baldwin, and many more. Friends was created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman and aired on NBC from September 22, 1994 to May 6, 2004. The series was produced by Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television.

This ultimate collector’s set for the ultimate fan features over 110 hours of content – including all 236 original broadcast episodes released for the first time in the US, plus 20 hours of special features including over three hours of newly-added special features. New content includes a retrospective documentary with new interviews looking back at the influential 10 years of the series, never-before-released cast appearances, unaired footage, a new gag reel and more! All 10 seasons have been completely remastered in stunning 1080p high definition video with a 16×9 widescreen format and 5.1 audio. The Friends: Complete Series Blu-ray box set is presented in highly collectible new packaging consisting of a lenticular box cover, a hard-cover book that holds 21 Blu-ray discs, plus a 32-page episode guide.

October Giveaway – Grimm!

A spooky month deserves a spooky show giveaway, right? And so, for the month of October, TV Breakroom is giving away season one of Grimm! If you already own the first season of this awesome show (or if you live outside the US), you can choose a $15 Amazon gift card instead. I’m also reviewing Grimm on the site Billie Doux, so be sure to check out my reviews (be forewarned – since they are reviews, there are plenty of spoilers)!

Portland detective Nick Burkhardt starts seeing ordinary people morph into legendary and animal-like creatures, and learns from his dying aunt that he is the last in a long line of Grimms. Like the fairytale-writing pair of brothers, Grimms both catalog and defend the world against these supernatural creatures called Wesen. While Wesen appear human, a Grimm can see who they truly are when they lose control.

Nick teams up with Monroe, a reformed Blutbad (a wolf-like Wesen), who helps him understand this new world and solve Wesen-related crimes. Nick’s girlfriend, Juliette, and partner on the force, Hank, are both ignorant of Nick’s new abilities. Captain Renard, Nick’s boss, knows what Nick is, but chooses to keep that knowledge, and his own true nature, a secret. Part crime show, part supernatural drama, Grimm mixes in humor and mythology while turning fairy tales on their heads.

White Collar (created by Jeff Eastin) is the story of con man and art thief Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer), and the only man who has ever caught him (twice), FBI Agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay). In lieu of an extended prison sentence for his escape, Neal agrees to work for the FBI as a consultant in the white collar crimes division, under Peter’s watchful eye. The cast also includes Peter’s wife Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen), Neal’s partner-in-crime Mozzie (Willie Garson), and FBI agents Jones (Sharif Atkins) and Diana (Marsha Thomason).

Castle – September Giveaway

I’ve only blogged specifically about Castle once before, which is sad considering that it’s one of my favorite shows. I plan to do better with season four, which starts this month. And in honor of the new season, and to celebrate the new Castle-themed look for my sidebar, I’m giving away a Castle season one DVD set!

Castle is what happens when a charming novelist teams up with a passionate cop to solve crimes in New York City. The writing and acting on this show is top-notch, and it mixes humor, drama, and simmering-just-under-the-surface romance perfectly.
